Continuing, Counsel said that after the incident, the girl became so in digmnt that she took from Morgan's pockets 65 cents, which was all the money he had. She also threatened to commit suleide but was restrained by Morgan from doing 60. They en walked down the hill, with Morgan in front.

Reported to Police On returning to the beach, the girl dregsed but did not make any com- pinitt to the man who looked after her clothes because, as she said, she did not want the matte to spread. In any case, she had decided to make A report to the Poller..

About an hour later, as she was approaching the Shamshuipo Police Station, she was seen by Inspectur Chester-Woods in an agitated condi- tion and crying. She was brought Inside the station where she related her ordeal, after which she was taken to the Kowloon Hospital.

She was examined by Dr. Ng who would say that the was in a rather excited condition when he first saw her. There were signs on her body which tailled with her story,

Enquiries were then made by the Police, and the accused was arrested as the result of the paper which he left in the basket and which was kept by the girl, following their visit to the Alhambra Theatre a few days previously.

At the station, the nccused told Inspector Chester-Woods that he gave the girt 80 cents and that she forced him to do what he had done. Later, the nccused was formally charged, and in reply he said he took the girl to be a prostitute. He added he had known her for 10 days and had taken her out to pictures.

Medical Evidence

Dr. Y. K. Ng, medical officer of the Kowloon Hospital, was then called, and he deposed to having seen the girl about 7.15 pm, on the day in question. The girl was crying and In a rather excited condition at the time. She told him she had been raped.

Subsequently he examined her and found signs on her body, which were consistent with her having been Interfered with.
