Points and butts readjusted up to 800 yards to be reserved, for use of the Troops, with access thereto at all times.
Full rights over the remainder of the land to be so ceded.
21. The stipulations in paragraphs 1 and 6, viz.: Water Supply, Albany Tanks; and wall to shut off the Magazine from the new wood; also that excluding villas or other building from within a radius of 200 yards from the Laboratory and new Magazine have been already the subject of correspondence with the Colonial Government, but the stipulations in paragraphs 2 and 15, viz.: Water Supply at tanks near the Men's New Magazine; and Rifle Range H. & H. Lands have not, so far as I am aware, been yet raised.
22. I consider all these are of great importance to the Troops; and respectfully submit that the completion of the cession of the land should not be recommended by the Officer Commanding for the approval of the Secretary of State for War till satisfactory assurances on all are received from the Colonial Government; and as from His Excellency the Governor's letter dated 8th February 1876 it appears that the intervention of the Secretary of State for the Colonies with the Secretary of State for War is now...
