Recalling vividly the excitement and confusion in the Hongkow District of Shanghal during the hostilities of 1932, the activities of the Japanese Naval Landing Party, fol- lowing the shooting to death of one Japanese blucjacket and the wounding of two others, once again threw the area into a panic.
