In the event of this Boundary being selected, and as you will perceive it in no way interferes with the Military Buildings, numerous sites for European Villas would become at once available to the South of the Wood, and though it is impossible to Estimate the Premium which the lots when opened out would fetch, there would be no doubt that they would make a large addition to the Revenue of the Colony and at least defray the cost of the Road. The latter, which has been already approved, would be a great boon to European Residents as it would form an extension of the Bowen and Bonham Roads, which are at nearly the same level and one much preferred by the European Residents to the higher levels further up the Hill.
