ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY people were
recently locked out of St. George's Roman Catholic Cathedral, Southwark, S.E., by order.
They were late for the 12 o'clock Mass, many of them habitual stragglers.
They had been warned. The 150 people, mostly women, walted on the steps of the cathedral. Later they were admitted.
REPRIMAND
Four Sundays ago the administra- tor of the cathedral, Mgr. Farrell, chided his congregation for being late for the various Musses. He made a special appeal to habitual stragglers.
"Some of you would be late for your own funerals. Being late for Mass is an insult to God." he said, There was an appreciable Improve- ment the following. Sunday. Blamed For Rail Crash, To Die
