from

young men thirsting for adventure have been received by Mr. Adrian Seligman, who is in search of companions for à sailing trip he and his bride are to make to the South Seas...

Mr. Seligman, a 26-year-old Cambridge graduate, who for the past few years has been sailing the seven seas, advertised for six mon between the ages of 18 and 30 who could put op £100 to join him as crew; he may now have to extend this number to eight.

By the fist post yesterday he received 60 letters, and one man, an artisan, had journeyed from the Midlands in his eagerness for an inter- view.

AS SEEN ON FILMS

Not all the writers can afford the £100, and many beg to be signed on under any conditions

to do the most menial jobs.

Some describe themselves as "adventure-starved"; others have been fred by the glamour of the south Sent- as seen on films,

Another man has £10 left in the world and a sweep: ninke ticket. He wants a place kept open for him till- the last minute.

One woman—there were three women applicants--- gave tragic reasons for wanting to get away from Civilisation.

"It will be a dißieùlt Joh making a selection," Mr. Seligman told a London newspaper yesterday. "8# zarny applicants seem suitable. What we do need badly are a young doctor and a botanist."

Mr. Seligman and Miss. Jane Batterbury are to be married to-morrow afternoon at St. Mary's Church, Wimbledon. Many of their welding presents have been chosen with a view to this trip in a 150-ton schooner, chief among them being a ship's library.
