daily as I have been for the last few months in Queens Road and towards the Happy Valley at the time that they are passing to & fro in their chairs) I should have been daily recognised (and the rest of being recognised and accosted by two that I had deceived, who would have had no compunction (as has been proved) in leaping out of their chairs and furiously abusing me.

In the 2nd place I have every reason to believe that the woman "Maxwell" ... Of the other two I have already mentioned my total ignorance.

I think that I should be justified in asking to be confronted with them that I may know their reason for accusing me, as all that I know at present on the subject is the reason given by Mr Sherrard that the woman's description is a very accurate one.

I myself am acquainted with my name, and there- fore it would be absurd and useless my giving her a false name.
