Second Police Magistrate - and Mr J. Stuart the Deputy Registrar of the Supreme Court.
Messrs Russell and Stuart in reply to my inquiry express their readiness to accept the office on whatever terms Your Lordship may prescribe as to Salary, while Mr Deane stipulates for a salary of not less than £1300 per annum.
As the claims and merits of these officers are necessarily various, I shall address Your Lordship on the subject on another occasion.
They are all efficient officers in the position they now hold.
