any creditor is at liberty to examine the statement and compare the receipt and payment, the creditors then determine whether and what dividend, if any, is payable.
If therefore the accounts of the Official Assignee are liable to be examined by the creditors at this meeting, by the Court at any time, and the two assignees are bound to check each other's accounts.
6. Surely if the Chief Justice has found by experience that these provisions are insufficient to ensure a proper audit, it is his duty to have framed a rule to remedy the defect.
The practice has been, for the Official Administrator, to make up an account of the Estate, frame a scheme of distribution of the Assets; he is then ordered by the Court to swear to his accounts before one of the officers of the Court. This officer examines the account with the Vouchers and makes the Official Administrator swear to its correctness, and thereafter the Judge passes the accounts.
