After a brief retirement, the jury returned with a verdict of "Guilty"! against the first accused and a majority guilty verdict of six to one against the second accused,
FOUR YEAR TERM
Itta Lordship, expressing agree- ment with the verdict, said the first accused had sought leniency at the Magistracy on the ground that he 15 a Government servant. That fuct made his offence more runk and he would go to prison for four years on the first charge and two years, concurrent, on the second.
Mr. Williams said the police were. not pressing the case against the second accused. He had given his age as 18, but was thought to be more than that.
Remarking that he hoped his seven weeks' detention in custody and his experience at the trial would be a lesson to him, His Lordship limposed sentence of one day's imprisonment.
