From what I know of the feelings of the residents in the Colony I can state that they are generally in favour of some provision being made for the Chaplain's residence. The Bishop and members of the Church of England in general would quite approve, and I think it may be assumed from the report of the proceedings in Council on the 8th of April last, as given in the local papers, that the Legislative Council would willingly assent if His Excellency The Governor should make such a proposal.
