One of the most sensational and grisly murders aloco the days of Jack the Ripper or the Crippen caso has alucked Britain from end to end. Committed for trial is Dr. Buck Ruxton (shown UPPER RIGHT) son of a Hindu father and Fronch mother, who was convicted and sentenced to death for the murder of his wife, Isabelle, and their pretty nurse, Mary Jane Roger son, ngod 20. It was last Sep- tember that two girls found fragments of human bodies in the "Devil's Beef Pot" ravine near Moffat, Dumfriesshire, Scotland. Scientists were called in to plece together the hideously mutilated bedies. One test which provod beyond reasonable doubt that the bodies were those of Mrs. Ruxton and tho nurse, both of whom had been missing for several weeks, was to photograph the skulls in life size and compare them with photographs.
