C1 : coming from the mainland for that purpose, and even, from some of the Chinese officials, if report is true. It is important therefore that, under present favourable circumstances, for the welfare and increased prosperity of the Colony, all due facilities should be obtainable by the colonists, Foreign and native, and the issue of one Dollar notes having proved of great public benefit so far, any stint in the supply of them would be a step in the wrong direction.
