A small statue was also found in his possession, which he admitted having stolen. The bag in the first charge was not recovered, while the fountain pen was recovered from a pawnshop in Cross Street, where he had pawned it for thirty cents. No violonce was used in the Reconil and third, snatching. cases. The bag in the third case was damaged beyond repair. Special police had to bo stationed in the district owing to the larcenies.
