So far as application on this particular case is concerned, I need hardly mention that there is no objection on the part of the Government to the four months' absence from the Colony sought for by the Chief Justice, Mr Justice Snowden in the Realm, though long leave remains in the Colony.
I ought to mention that there is every reason to suppose that Mr. Snowden will also put forward a claim for four months' vacation leave at some period in the near future.

His Excellency the Governor will remember that just before his departure for England in March last, I applied for accumulated vacation leave of absence to begin in August then next. His Excellency had the kindness to express a wish to grant it but on referring to Article 133 of the Regulations.
