S. C. & F. New York office cables: Stocks: Securities continue in good domand in spite of some profit-taking, Pittsburgh steel scrap prices, have nd- vanced by 25 cents a ton.
Tho Douglas Aircraft Company has earned $2.70 per share for the year ended November 30th,, against 8 cents per share the previous year. The Com: BRNY' unßlled orders amount to $15- 800,000 on February 8th., against $6,388,000 on November 30, 1935. The Southern Hallway Company

Cotton: The firm technical position for nearby cotton is indicated by an unconfirmed report that the Producers' Pro has sold 50,000 bales, of "spot" cotton. The Journal of Commerco estimates that it is the intention of farmers to plant 32,376,000 acres.
Wheat: The firmness of the market reflects the improvement in foreign and Canadian export demand which, on Wednesday, we estimated at 2,500,000 bushels. The cash market is dull, but firm. The corn, market is featureless.
Rubber: The Armness is due to lack of offerings from the East and also owing to the atrength of the London market.
Special-Average daily petroleum production during the past week in Estimated at 2,764,000 barrels, against 2.815,000 barrels the previous week. The Edison Electric Institute estimates electricity production at 1,952,000,000 k.w.h, an increase of 10.7 per cent. over the corresponding period of last; year.
