MRS. KATIE GUBBAY PASSES

The death occurred after a shart illness at the Matilda Hospital yeя- terday morning of Mrs. Katie Gubbay, a respected member of the Jewish community, at the age of 58 years.

The late Mr. Gubbay WAH pre- deceased by her husband a few years am, and leaves n son, Harry, and five daughters, Sophle, Rosie, Nellie, and two who are married, and nť present in Calcutta and England res- pectively.

funeral took place in the after- noon at the Jewish Cemetery, Happy Valley, where the service was con ducted by Rabbi Blazer,

The late Mr. Maycock, who was only 24 years of age, was educated at the Central British School, and, up to the time of his final illness was em- played at the Navy, Army and "Alr Force Institute.

In his spare time he was a keen member of the Motor Machine-gun section of the Volunteers.

The funeral will take place to-day at Happy Valley.
