INVASION OF SHANGHAI JOCKEYS
The entries for the Annual Race Meeting of the Hongkong Jockey Club commencing on February 22, closed last Saturday and taking everything on the whole, it can be considered very satisfactory. There are 34 entries for the Valley Stakes, 25 for the Hongkong Derby and 23 for the Rooty Hill Derby. A compared with 1932 which was a record year in the annals of Hongkong racing, the number of entries for these three events has decreased by 50% odd and the following is a list of statistics of entries since 1932.

SENSATIONAL GOAL
ilongkong made a 'sensationa! start, the spectators being given a Lee Wal-tong treat. The Colony glorious centre-forward scored a goal after beating four defenders. This was in the first minute of the second half, and Hongkong, despite the terrible conditions overhead and underfoot, maintained pressure with Ler and Talbot both scraping the posts with first time drives.
Mr. Eu Tong Sen's Rosemary was on the walking list for a week or so owing to an accident but the mare has resumed her work last Monday and is looking well. I understand that the mare cost the owner a good ward came to the visitors, Gosano sum of money and is reputed to be cutting in after a clever bout of a fer for any distance.
