Park when they were opposed Men's Trial To Be Held to a team comprising the Rest and won convincingly by three goals to one. They gave a good display generally and we can rest assured that they will do their utmost in the Northern port-we cannot expect more!

There were several changes in the teams when they took to the field. Jean Dalziel, of the Hongkong Ladies' Hockey Club, filled the vacancy lu the Interpart attack caused by the absence of Sybil Dalziel, who has an injured ankle.

Mary Smalley was brought in at inside-right for the Best with 1. Git tins on the left wing in place of 11. Knill. J. Woolley was also absent and her place at right half was filled by K. Glover. At Inside left, C. Fer- guson turned out in place of A. Alves, of the Recreio.

It has been deelded by the Hong- kong Hockey Association that the match against Interport annual Macao shall be played off on Satur- day, January 25, on the Navy Ground, King's Park, at 4 p.m.

A second match has been arranged for the Macao players who are to meet the Hongkong Civilian on the Navy Ground on Sunday, January 26, int 4 pm.

A trial match is to be played next The following Sunday on the Navy ground, com- mencing at 3 p.m. have been selected to piny in this trial fixture:

Hongkong's representative rugby side to meet the New Zealand Univer Thursday, has been sity Biteen on chosen and consists of the following players:

This question is being hotly de bated by the men who should know.

"Most of the fighters Louis has faced have folded up too quickly. Carnera, Levinsky, Paclino-not one of them was counted out. That proves Loula doesn't finish with

his punch, though he is a paralysing hitter. "I think James Braddock. the heavy-weight champion of the world,

Max Schmeling, because Jim is a will give him a tougher fight than difficult target; Max is easy to hit. with his right than duen Schmeling."

The Whites crossed over after the

Eight of the players are former interporters and have had experience of playing conditions in Shanghai. This is of vast Import and is a factor which demands as much attention by the selectors as the individual qual ties of the players.

Next Saturday the team will enjoy a practice match against a powerful Rest eleven and the following day will depart for Shanghal. The Interport match is being played on Chinese New Year's Day, probably at the
