I have embodied my sentiments

upon the proposed Plans of the Mary-

Kang Civil Hospital

in a separate

Memorandum which I fear has assumed

rather formidable dimensions.

I had

intended to confine my criticisms to the discussion of leading principles only,

but successful hospital designing depends

as much upon a careful consideration

of details as

upon a recognition of

general rules and, after a thorough examination

of the Plans I have formed many -
