THE world's astronomers have for the past week been observing the most mysterious stream of sunspots ever known.

The group of spots (a patch 80,000 miles long) is the largest seen on the sun's surface for many years. It was expected to cause:-

Magnetic storms;

Interference in wireless reception;

Difficulties in telegraph and telephone transmission,

HOW TO SEE THE PATCH OF MYSTERY

The Astronomer-Royal gave the following instructions for those who wish to see for themselves the great stream of sunspota:
