-This picture illustrates why the Second Division of the Australian Light Horse Brigade is called the crack regiment of the Commonwealth Volunteer Citizen foreca. Based on the same system as that used to some extent in Hongkong's Volunteer forces, the Light Horse Brigade cont- prises Volunteers aped frum 21 to 28 years. Each man is a crack rider and is given two thorough- bred horses, free of charge, during his time with the forces. Parades are held twice a week, once on Wednesdays, in the employer's time, and once on Saturdays, in the trainer's time. This Light Horseman was the winner of the tent pegging competition at Melbourne Royal Agricultural Show which has just ended;
