I beg to draw your Lordships' attention to be Ordinance enacted by the Government of Hong Kong, dated 7th July, 1875, a copy of which you have in mind enacting the See of Victoria & Inward &c. But herein lies my difficulty, I shall feel much obliged if your Lordships would give me some information on the following point.
"I find that in the preamble of the said Ordinance, at the top of page 2, it is stated "I hereby by the revocation of the said Letters Patent the said See and Bishopric of Victoria ceased to exist as constituted."

The point which I now wish to ascertain is whether her Majesty's Government has taken the view that the revocation of Letters Patent cannot and does not abate a Corporation such as that formed in question in the present case.
