Fow selection committees ever give entire satisfaction to everybody and in one of two in- stances those charged with the selection of the Colony's lawn bowls rinks which are to oppose Shanghai during the first. fortnight in October, will not find themselves in favour with many bowlers. Taken on the whole the three rinks are well balanced and each possesses the necessary talent to ragain the prestige lost in Shanghai last year.
