CHINESE REDS' PLAN TO FLOOD WORLD WITH COINS
London, Aug. 25. FOLLOWING the arrest

in Paris of two Chinese accused of passing spurious silver pieces, the police claim to have unearthed a plot on the part of Chinese revolutionaries to flood the world with counterfeit silver coins of all nations.
When the police arrested two Chinese hawkers named Chen Chou- Chih-ming and Chou choum. it was thought at first to be merely a matter of passing a few home-made ten franc pieces, but inquiries revealed the plot to be a widespread affair.

They are alleged to have re- vealed that some time ago this organisation established

Shanghai a factory for the mass production of imitation English. French, Italian, Spanish, Hong- kong and American silver coins.
According to the police version of the admissions supposed to have been made by the suspects, counterfeit coins to the value of many hundreds of thousands of pounds have been manufactured by the factory in Shanghai, and this factory appears to have been the source of the counterfeit coins circulated in England, France and other countries dur- ing the past three years.
