FILLING CEREMONY ON MONDAY

Construction of the Jubilee Reservoir nt Shing Mun has now. so far advanced that arrangements have been made for ifia Excellency the Officer Administering the Gov- ernment (Sir Thomas Southorn) to mangurate the Alling of the reservoir on Monday next.

A raid by Revenue Officers board the M. City of Pleasantville in the early hours of this morning resulted in a big seizure of oplum being made.

The raid took place at 3.30 n.m.1 and altogether about 5,000 taels of prepared oplum was seized, believed to have been consigned to Los Angeles.
