Fritz:
The Wall Street Journal report on yesterday's market-Stocks to-day performed erratically. Early in the session, selling waves forced prices | downward, but a Inte recovery took the ninjority of securities to above the previous day's clone. Ralfrond issues ruled stendy on the outlook regarding carlomiings, while war stocks were demand. Stocks an the Curb Ex- change were teregular, whilst bonds were irregularly lower.
S.C. & F. New York office cables:— The market was quiet, buf ärm at the close. The Federal Court has annetioned the Fox Film Company merger. Average dally production, of petroleum for the week ending August 24 was estimated at 2,680,000 barrel, compared with 2,700,000 barrels the previous week. The Edison Electric Institute estimates weekly plectricity production at 1,840,000,000 k.w.h., an increase of 11.5 per cent over The corresponding period of last year.
