Water level has reached 28 feet and continues to rise. Chungtoshi is reported to be 21 fest under water and 1,500 out of the 6,000 re- sidents in that town have been evacuated while the remainder are still waiting to be rescued. The fate of the marooned persons is very doubtful as the flood situa tion has turned for the worse.
