The death occurred at French Hospital yesterday, after a long period of ill health, of Mr. Sidney Francis Metrath, late of the Maritime Customs.
Mr. McGrath, who was about, 52 years of age and unmarried ind been with the Maritime Customs For over 20 years, serving in all parts of China, though 2 large proportion of his time was spent in Hongkong.
The funeral has been arranged for 5 p.m. this afternoon.
