SILKSTONE AND LUZ TO MEET

PROGRAMME FOR TO-DAY

(By "Sagax")

A. E. Silkstone and R. F. Luz will provide the attraction in the lawn bowls singles championship this afternoon when they meet on the Kowloon Bowling Green Club.

The Craigengower player and for- mer Club de Recreio representative will not need me to remind him of a former meeting with Silkstone some years back. He is ill probably try- ing to live down that match, and even if he wins to-day he will derive sunil compensation for a 21-3 defeat.

I don't intend to go into the whys and wherefores of that match but sufficient to say that in that year, (1981) Silkstone was playing pari- cularly good bowls and previous Lo defeating Iruz had eliminated A. M. Holland.

h

Last season Both Silkstone and Luz were eliminated in their first matches

in the competition, the former hy H. A. Alves in the second round, after having drawn a bye in the frat, and the latter by U. M. Omar in the first round.
