I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to transmit to you herewith, for the information of the Earl of Carnarvon, copy of a letter from this Board dated the 7th instant declaring the Colony of Hong Kong to be an unhealthy place for the purposes of the Superannuation Acts 1859 and 1875, also a copy of a letter they have caused to be addressed to the Post Master General.
