been furnished from Hongkong will be borne out by the Paper
of Particulars when received, Lord
Carnarvon will be prepared in

recommend
that an aggregate
allowance be made to Mr. Mitchell for
service of 18 years.
A pension of 234th of his Colonial
pay of £1100 per annum,
Subject to a
deduction
of such amount as
Their Lordships may see fit to award in respect to the
period from 1857 to 1860
when he was in Imperial
Employ
I am to report that I have been informed of the amount
which will be grantable in
respect to that period, and I am to add that Lord
Carnarvon
presumes
that
the Heads of the Treasury will
Award him an additional
pension (which would not
affect his pension from Colonial
Funds) in respect to his additional employment from the date
set out by the Colonial Secretary's Report in 1878.
