In reply to your letter of the 6th inst respecting the superannuation of Mr F. W. Mitchell, Postmaster General of Hongkong, I am directed by Lord Carnarvon to state that the letter of 14th June 1876 was received and that his case has been brought under his Lordship's consideration, but that no formal paper of particulars has yet been sent from Hong Kong.
