My Lord,
I am honored with your Lordship's commands signified in Mr Meade's letter of the 29th ultimo, stating that he was directed by your Lordship to transmit to me a despatch from the Governor of Hong Kong enclosing Draft Ordinance to provide for "Several Register of marriages celebrated in Hong Kong" and further that he (Mr Meade) was to enclose the previous correspondence on the same subject with Sir. A. Kennedy together with a copy of the existing Ordinance No 1. of 1852.
I am to state that your Lordship would be glad to be informed whether that Ordinance does...
