SHELTERS
CLOSED FOR SUMMER MONTHS LAST NIGHT
Last night the Street Sleepers' Shelters at St. Peter's Church and Po Yan, Wanchai, took in down and outs for the last Lime this summer and the inmales were afforded a special treat in that they were all given a hot meal and two gunney bags to take with them when they were allowed out this morning.
The splended work which the Society has been doing during the winter months is evidenced from the figures published below. The shelter at St. Peter's Church was opened on December 1 fast, and up to February 28, 11,959 street sleepers had been accommodated,

between December 15 when the shelter was opened and February 28. This gives an average of 130 beds occupied per night out of an available total of 144.
