I have the acknowledgement of the receipt of my
letter of the 31st ult., enclosing memorandum, with requisitions for Stationery required by the Government of Hong Kong, and a memorandum from the Acting Auditor General of that Colony stating
that the last supplies for the last half year have not been satisfactory. The Super-Royal hand-made paper complained of was manufactured by J. H. Saunders, I enclose a sheet drawn from the last supply sent to Hong Kong which is quite sound, the papers made by that firm are used in all parts of the world and are as well adapted for a tropical climate.
