Members of the House of Commons from Entering into Contracts for Government this Form
The whole of the Stores were on board No Ship and by arrangement have been transferred to the Steamer "Scotland", expected to leave here on the 18th Instant, and as she is a very fast Vessel it is hoped that delay occasioned by this unusual occurrence may be reduced to a period of 10 days - a week or 10 days.
Dr. Baird will proceed in the "Scotland", and has received the sum of £40 as provided in the agreement.
A copy of Messrs Chance Bros for durice for the Light and Lanterns, with packing particulars, have been sent.
18° P.9. Julyen.
The Colonial Secretary has been informed.
Other Stores had also been shipped by the "Montgomeryshire" and were taken out and will be forwarded by the "Scotland"; but three cases of thermicals to Hongkong could not be got at and have therefore been forwarded by another Vessel.
