allowance hitherto granted to the Mail Officers while at sea between Bombay and Suez and to discontinue the Hotel expenses while on shore,
and are compelled to apply the same rule to the officer employed sorting the China mails.
As we have no wish to cause inconvenience to your offices: allowance for their expenses while on shore at Singapore during the month of November will be paid as usual, but all such payment will cease after that date.
