The great Bradford wool firm of Francis Willey and Company, Ltd., of which Lord Barnby is the chairman, announced at s meeting of creditors to-day In London that the company had passed a resolution for voluntary iiquidation and that the liquida- tors had been appointed.
The spokesman for the company stated further that "the company Is only a unit of a group sometimes known as the Willey group, and it was not anticipated that cortain substantial business of the group would be adversely affected by the liquidation,"
It is understood that by arrange. mant with the creditors of the company, all obligations will be satisfactorily met.
The steps being taken by the company are believed the only way of protecting the interests of all concerned. It is hoped that it will be possible to reconstruct the business.—Reuter Special.
