After 20 years connection with the Hongkong University, latterly as one of the teaching staff, Dr. D. K. Samy is now going into private practico. At a farewell Lon-party given in his honour by the University Medical Union yes- terday, he was presented with, a table-clock and other gifts, whilst glowing tributes were paid to his
skill.
In making the presentation, Prof. L. J. Davis referred with regret to the loss the University suffered by Dr. Somy's leaving it.
The Vice-Chancellor, Sir Wil- an amusing Ham Hornell, in speech, said he preferred with an old friend's privilege to refer to Dr. Samy as Uncle Sam, whom he first know as a remarkable figuro connected with Lugard Hall in that perlod when it acquired reputation as being a turbulent organization. (Laughter).
