We have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter No. 64M of this date and in reply beg to state: that the Emigrants shipped by the "Abbotsford" will be under no contract of service whatsoever.
We further beg to acquaint you that we have authorized Mr. H. G. James of Messrs Jardine Matheson & Co. to act for us.
