As it is apparently impossible to remedy this anomaly by local legislation, the Attorney-General has, at my request, drafted a Bill to remedy the state of the law referred to, and I have
now the honour to submit it
for Your Lordship's consideration in the hope that Your Lordship will think fit to have it or some similar Bill brought before
that the Colony
may be placed on the same footing with regard to colonial rendition of criminals
as all other Parts with
which rendition Treaties have been made).
