At the request of the President of the Board of Trade, Mr. Runci- man, the Import Duties Advisory Committeo has undertaken to ‚examino ́and report on the subject of the supplies and prices of lend and zinc to United Kingdom con- sumors, and relative provisions of the Ottawa agreements.
Supplies of those metals from sources/outside the British Empire at present pay ten per cent. ad valorem duty, which the British Government may remove if Empire producers fail to supply adequate quantities at prices not exceeding world prices. British Wirelvas,

Berlin, Dec. 27. An official dental has been issued hore of the sensational report which appeared in the Paris press to-day concerning 4. new Nazi

The reports, which quoted from the Prague newspaper, Wolt- buchno, stated that over 280 Nazi chiefs had been arrested and ́exe- cuted during December.
