Colour Craze by British Concerns

It is stated that British films are going colour crazy. Probably £1,- 000,000 has been spent in this country in the past two years in colour film research and tests. And now, at last, the studios nre.com. fident they are going to see their money back. B.I.P. are first in the field. They have just completed two Important scenes of their "Radio Parade of 1935" in Dufay- colour. The virtue of this British system is that the colour is register. ed on one negative and appears in the developing. The added cost of film-making by this process goos almost entirely in the extra light- Ing required in the studio.
Lantion Films have adopted the Hillman Colour Gravure process, sponsored by Gerrard Industrica. Mr. Alexander Korda has joined the board of Gerrard's, and hopes to start his colour film career next year with "Lawrence of Arabia." A. D. Hillman, the inventor la an optical mathematician.
