SOLDIER OF BRITAIN'S STAGGERING TIME
RUNS BEST RACE OF CAREER AT
SATURDAY'S VALLEY MEETING
(By "Captain Foster")
The three St. Leger races produced three easy victories. Soldier of Britain (Mr. Deitz) won the Hongkong St. Leger, Cavalcade (Mr. Pih) the Sub-Griffins St. Leger and Able Amazon (Mr. Butler) the Freemantle St. Leger. The wins were so convincing that I expect to see these same ponies score just ma easily in their respective Champion races next month.
The time of 3-36 2/5 registered by Soldier of Britain (Mr. Deitz) in the Hongkong St. Leger simply staggered me, the tnore so na lid not consider the pony a stayer. He must have a very fine average in the Junior Division Ballard, another Army player was too good for them with the ball, and they were heavily beaten. The K.C.C.
