HUNGARY BLAMED FOR MARSEILLES MURDERS

THREE STATES MAKE DEFINITE CHARGE

LEAGUE EFFORT TO END TENSION

ECHO OF ASSASSINATION OF KING ALEXANDER

STRONG RESENTMENT IN BUDAPEST

(SPECIAL TO "TELEGRAPH")

(By Telegraph. Copyright, Telegraphic Messages Ordinance, 1894. Received, Nov. 25, 7,45 m.)

Geneva, Nov. 22.

Charges that Hungary bears a large share of the responsibility for the murder of King Alexander of Yugo-Slavia have been made before the League of Nations, and there is resentment in Budapest against the allegation. The voices of three states are raised against Hungary, however, and the League will on- deavour to clear the air, by hearing the whole matter discussed by representatives of the states principally concerned.

There is, admittedly, some considerable tension in the Balkans,

The Government of Yugo-Slavia has written a letter to the League of Nations declaring that the Marseilles assassinations have revealed "grave and striking responsibilities on the part of the Hungarian authorities.

"It is thanks to this complicity, on the part of Hungarians that the odious act at Marseilles was able to be perpetrated," says the Yugo-Slavian Government, re- ferring to the murder of King Alexander and M. Barthou, the French Foreign Minister.

JOIN IN PROTEST Czecho-Sinyakin and Rumunia have Loth wont letters to the Len- que of Nationa supporting Yugo- Shuvi, saying that the situation rev, nied at Marseilles directly affert their relations with their; neighbours' and may trouble the pence of the world.
