The Prince began his inspection of the factory at the remarkable Ford Jetty. The large quantities of iron ore, cont and other raw materials uned by the factory, and the scope of its export activities make it necessary for the works to be provided with exceptional facili tion for handling water-borne freights, and the jetty la une of the largest and best equipped on Thameside, 1,800 feet long, if enables 12,000 ton ocean-going vennela ta berth immediately along- side the factory.
