respect of the judicial duties they have to perform, and they have the same powers and responsibilities; - And although taking as a rule the work of the Summary Court the Puisne Judge is called upon to perform in his turn all the duties of the Court.
I have not been able to find out by reference to the Colonial Pension Minutes of other Colonies, having Supreme Courts, or by enquiry, what rule is applied to Puisne Judges elsewhere.
I would respectfully ask His Lordship the Secretary of State to give some directions in this matter - and I would also ask if there is no rule to the contrary, that the Puisne Judge of this Colony may be placed on the same footing as the Chief Justice in respect of time of service and the scale of pension.
