Paris, Oct. 15. Senator Henri Lemery has been named Minister of Justice, suc. ceeding M. Heari Cheron.
The reorganisation of the French Cabinet is now complete. M. Laval, the Minister for the Colonies, has taken the Foreign Office portfolio, held by the late M. Barthou; M. Marchanbeau succeeds M. Sarraut as Minister for the Interior, M. Sarraut und M. Choron were forced to resign following the assassina- tion of King Alexander and M. Barthou.
M. Lemery, the newest of the Cabinet appointees, has been Sena- tor for Martinique since 1920. Het is a Republican-Socialist and mem- ber of the Gauche Democratique Group. He has been vice-President of the Committee of External Affairs in the Senate, Advocate of the Court of Appen), Chief of the Cabinet to the Ministery of Justice and a Deputy from 1914 to 1920. He was Under-Secreary of State for Naval Transport and Mercantile Marino in the Clemencenu Govern-
ment, 1017-18 and has been dis tinguished from time to time by his brilliant debating.-United
