Lieut. Wood, R. N., was summons ed before. Mr. Hamilton in the Cen- tral Police Court this morning for driving his cat, No: 2018, in Ico House Street on August 25.
Mr. T. P. K. Kemble, of Messrs. Wilkinson & Grist, appearing for the defonce, pleaded guilty to the charges. He said that Lt. Wood only arrived in April and had been at Welhalwel. He had only been driving for a few days when the offence was committed. Since that time, the posts had been painted..

Traffic-Inspector Nicoll stated that on September 9, at 11.30 p.m., Miss Brown was, walking across Nathan Road, when, she was knocked down by private car No. 3525, which was, driven by defene. dant. She received minor in-. jurica to the back,and head, and was kept in the hospital for three days.
Defendant pleaded guilty, and His Worship imposed a fine of $10, and ordered him to pay $10 com- pensation,

DEMANDS TURBAN FROM POLICE
An Indian watchman, Bukan Singh, 30 years of age, appeared before Mr. E. I. Wynne-Jones, at the Kowloon Magistracy this morning, charged with the theft of, or receiving, atolen goods con- sisting of, crockery, allverware, towels and miscellaneous articles, the property of Mrs. A. B. Oxberry, from the Palace Hotel, He was also charged with steal- ing, or receiving stolen articles consisting of one pair of gloves, from the manager of the Hotel, Mr. A. Brown; a gold mounted fountain pon' from Mr. J. B. Beach, a resident of the Hotel; and a travelling, rug, the property of a "boy" employed'nt the Hotel. The thefts occurred between, Decem- ber, 1933, and October 8, 1984.
